Welcome to my digital laboratory!
My name is Asaf Dov, and this is the chronicle of a lifelong obsession that started with my first PC at the age of eight. That spark of curiosity has since become an inferno.
My academic journey led me to a B.Sc. in Physics and Computer Science from Ben-Gurion University, a combination that perfectly captured my desire to understand the world’s fundamental rules while also learning how to build the tools to manipulate them. For a time, I applied this knowledge as a process engineer at Intel, working on the very CPUs that power our digital world.
But my true passion lies in getting my hands dirty—in the space where code, circuits, and creativity collide. This site is where I document that journey. It’s a testament to the idea that with the right tools and enough curiosity, you can reshape the world around you.
Here’s a glimpse into my workshop:
- The Maker Forge: This is where the digital meets the physical. Armed with a 3D printer, a soldering iron, and a fleet of microcontrollers (Arduinos, ESP32s, Raspberry Pis), I’m constantly hacking life. I believe everyday objects are just a starting point, and I love redesigning them to perfectly fit my needs.
- The Digital Backbone: Hardware is only half the story. To bring my creations to life, I’ve built my own digital infrastructure. I’m fascinated by the world of IT and cybersecurity—running my own homelab, mastering Linux, spinning up services with Docker, and learning how to secure it all. It’s about building a robust and private ecosystem for my experiments.
- The Frontier of AI: I’ve always been captivated by the elegant power of neural networks. I’m not just content using AI as a black box; I’m diving deep into the math and code behind machine learning algorithms, exploring how we can teach machines to learn, create, and solve problems in ways we’re only beginning to understand.
So, step into my lab. Explore the projects, dig into the code, and join me as I feed an insatiable curiosity, one creation at a time.
